CAHA wants your story!
Has one of your team members achieved a personal goal,
such as winning an academic award or essay contest? Is
one of your players a stand-out leader with skills and qualities his peers admire? Does a player volunteer his time for a worthwhile cause? Has your team taken on a community service project? We’d like to recognize them!
We would like to feature them in a CAHA newsletter and perhaps submit their story to a local paper, as well.
Tournament championships are newsworthy and will certainly be accepted. However, we would like to include, if not focus on, kids’ all-around achievements and personal success stories.

High School Alert-High School Alert-High School Alert (posted 8/16/04)
This is to inform anyone who intends to play high school hockey this season in the CHSHL that the evaluations have been changed.
The evaluations for all interested high school players will be:
Saturday September 11th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Sunday from 12:00 noon – 2:00pm
ALL players must attend one of the sessions. Each session will include approximately 45 minutes of skill execution and then a scrimmage. This change will allow the high school teams to officially begin their practices the week of September 20th in order to prepare for games to begin the first week of November.
Please direct any comments or concerns to Ken Handley at email@example.com or 513-522-5298.
DEVELOPING HOCKEY/MINI MITES PROGRAM CHANGES! (Posted 8/16/04)
Last year, over 80 skaters enrolled in the Developing
Hockey program. CAHA polled the participating families
to obtain comments and suggestions for improving the program. Based upon that feedback, and in effort to satisfy the needs of our skaters, Don Biggs, Director of Hockey, and Mike Johnson, Developing Hockey Coordinator, have decided to immediately implement the following changes:
Substantial ice time has been added to the program:
Participants in the Developing Hockey program will now benefit from 27 hours of ice time for the same price as the 16 hours offered last year.
Game opportunities have been added:
In order to provide the young skaters with game situations, the structure of the program has changed.
Three (3) 1 hour sessions will be offered to focus on skills.
Sixteen (16) 1.5 hour sessions will provide skating/skills training AND scrimmage games
IT'S A WIN-WIN SITUATION! The kids have the time they need to learn the fundamentals in a fun filled environment and now, they have the opportunity to put those skills to the test in scrimmages.
Enroll your child now; space is limited! Click here to contact the registrar: Sandra Matthews
